Abyssinian Eagle Owl, so I am told.

It's not a lovely day today, I have got a poor old electric scooter, it has bad brakes, I think, every time I take it out. The fact is, I can't do much without it, walking is a non-go. So, it's time to put on the thinking cap. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Silver-washed Fritillary (Forest of Dean)

Beautiful day, the sun didn't want to stop, so I went up to our Forest of Dean. That's where I photographed this little S-w Fritillary. It is my favourite, at least until I get something in the butterfly world.

Juvenile Pheasant (The Old Refuse Dump, Lydney)

The last blog was indeed a juvenile Black-tailed Skimmer, this one I know so well. It's a juvenile Pheasant, but I can't tell you whether it is different  between sexes. If you have a desire to be a male, then watch out for the hunters!

Today's music is: Mozart ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euHuZtt1500 )

Lapwing (Gloucestershire)

They stand in the upright position looking out at something, but, they are frightened, suddenly they are flying, and they can really go. Beautiful. I'm not in position to take any pictures of that, but, you can watch them flying sometimes.

I am playing a song every night, and I shall try to put what I'm listening to at this moment. It is Nick Drake:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTmAqr04UXM
